Deanna
Dee grew up in Cyprus where she spent ten years gigging across the island in multiple bands, duets and on her lonesome, playing every kind of venue from a tiny Irish bar to a 5,000 seat amphitheatre.
Dee is heavily influenced by Paramore front woman Hayley Williams and likes to try and channel her fearlessness and belting vocals on the stage. Dee loves singing all genres of music, though her favourites are definitely rock and soul, having grown up in a Motown heavy home. She joined Miles from Life in 2022 and the rest is history. Dee really loves connecting with the crowd and getting everyone involved in the party!

Jonathan
Jonathan’s real passion for music began when he started having music lessons at the age of 12. He began initially on cello, but then moved onto playing drums, bass and then ultimately guitar in various Jazz, Rock, Metal, Punk and Pop bands across Hertfordshire, London and the East Midlands. He takes inspiration from a wide range of genres and has previously written/recorded music for UK television.

Woody
Woody plays rhythm guitar and has been in Miles from Life since the beginning. He started playing classical guitar in his teens but was soon converted to the dark side. Before MFL he played with One Night Only and Cortina, the latter with Paul our bass player. Woody is only here for the album cover and would like to be a train driver when he grows up .

Paul
Paul’s journey with the bass guitar started when he turned 40. Within 18 months of this he started gigging in his first band – ‘Cortina’ with Woody, our rhythm guitarist. Paul’s first band played at the Eastenders Cast and Crew Summer BBQ, which saw them on stage playing directly opposite The Queen Vic with Phil Mitchells house being used as the ‘Green Room!’.
Pauls main influences are Mark King, Marcus Miller and all things funk. He’s bit of a slapper. Outside of Bass guitar, Paul is a keen origamist.

Elliot
Elliot is the drummer and lynchpin of the band. He is partial to a bit of death metal, although we don’t let him play it in public.

Hattie
Hattie started life as a classically trained flutist, but plays keyboard, sax and percussion with Miles From Life. The newest member of the band, she is mostly found hiding at the back. As a professional musician, Hattie has played all over the UK depping on a variety of West End shows as well as classical orchestras. Hattie is also a published author, having written a flute tutor book and writes for the Little Flute Magazine. She still finds time to teach music in London and Hertfordshire whilst continuing to perform. Hattie is partial to an ice cream.
